台北にあるホテルとカフェと雑貨屋さんの融合された素敵な場所の紹介です。
I am going to introduce you to a renovation café which is also a hotel and knick-knack shop.
今回の台湾の旅でこちらのホテルに泊まる事に決めました。
理由としては、ホテルの一階部分が素敵なカフェになっていたから。
台湾では現在古い建物をリノベーションし活用する事が多く、こちらのホテルもリノベーションされたプチホテルです。
The reason I decided to stay at this particular hotel on this Taiwanese trip was that the hotel’s 1st floor has a nice café.
In Taiwan, there are a lot of buildings that have been trendily renovated and this hotel is one of them.
さっそく迎えた当日は、私の到着が21：00になってしまったためスタッフの人を待たせてしまっていたようでした。
チェックインの時間は事前に連絡するのがベター。
でもとても親切に温かく迎えてくれました。
オーナーは英語が堪能なので、やり取りで困る事もなく安心でした。
客室は全部で４部屋しかないそう。
２・３階がホテルになっているのですが、ラッキーな事に２階には今回私しか泊まっておらず、お風呂とトイレはフロアで共有になっていますが貸し切り出来ました。（といっても１フロア２屋しかないので、共有でもストレスがないと思います。）
I arrived at the hotel late around 21:00. But luckily the staff had waited for me.
Despite my late arrival they were still welcoming.
However it would have been better if I had contacted them in advance of my arrival time.
The hotel owner can speak English so we did not have any problems communicating with each other.
There are only 4 guest rooms, situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Luckily I was the only person staying on the 2nd floor, There was a shared bathroom and toilet but on this occasion I had sole use.
(But if you need to share, no stress as each 1 floor has only 2 rooms)
本当におしゃれな空間で、各部屋には自由に使えるレコードが備え付き。
レコードなんて触ったこともない私はオーナーからどうやって音を流すか教えてもらい、おいてあるレコードはビートルズやなんと日本の60年代の古いレコードも。
古い音楽をかけながら広々としたベットでリラックス。
60～70年代のアンティーク家具を配置されたお部屋には様々な本や日本語のガイドブックなんかも置いてありました。
部屋には手洗い場が付いているのですが、そこには手作りの石鹸も。
It’s a very stylish place, Each room has a record player which you can use.
I had not used a record before, but the owner taught me how to play them.
There were a collection of records such as The Beatles and old Japanese singers ( from the 60s and 70s).
It was relaxing lying on a wide bed and listening to the old music.
The room was furnished in the style of the 60’s and 70’s and there were also some Japanese guide books.
The room has a washroom and there was a bar of homemade soap.
色んな国の人とコミュニケ―ションを取るのも旅の醍醐味の一つ。
ここに泊まるお客さんは様々な国からやってきていて、彼らもここのレトロな雰囲気、また古いレコードがとても気に入ったそう。
The people who stay here are from a variety of countries and they also loved the retro atmosphere and the old records.
So it was fun communicating with people from around the world.
迎えた翌日。
少しだけ悪い話をすると実は立地がいいために、車の騒音が昼夜問わず聞こえてしまいます。私は枕が変わると眠るまで少し時間がかかってしまうため、熟睡には至らずでした。なので、想像以上に早起きしてしまったのですが、朝から充実した時間を過ごす事ができたので、結果オーライです。
I could not sleep well at night because the hotel was facing the main street and I could hear noise late into the night and also in the early morning.
Subsequently I woke up before my alarm went off.
However I enjoyed the moment, so it did not matter.
ここではフリーのコーヒーが付いてくるので、カフェ兼雑貨屋さんになっている一階部分へ降りて行きました。朝ごはんは付いていないため、コーヒーを飲んでから近くのご飯屋さんを探そうかと思っていたのですが、スタッフの人が朝ごはん買える場所を教えてくれました。
The hotel offered complimentary coffee so I went downstairs.
Breakfast was not provided so after having a my coffee I planned to find a good place to have breakfast, the staff told me about a local sandwich shop.
初作早食 Fresh Sandwichというホテルから徒歩３分くらいのサンドイッチ屋さんへ。
台湾では朝ごはんは外へ食べに出るのがほとんど。
既に数組の方はご飯を食べていました。
Fresh Sandwich is the name of the shop they recommended it was 3 minutes’ walk from the hotel.
It’s common to have breakfast outside in Taiwan.
Already some groups were seated when I arrived.
サンドイッチを抱えて帰ると、ほどなくしてオーダーしていたコーヒーを運んでくれて、まったりとした朝の時間を過ごす事ができました。
I went back to the hotel with a sandwich, the staff gave me a another coffee and I spent a nice and relaxing morning.
歩いて数分で、乾物、高級食材、漢方薬…百年老舗がずらりと並ぶ台北で最も古い問屋街「迪化街」に行くことができます。恋愛成就にご利益があるということで有名なパワースポット「霞海城隍廟」があったり、立地がとてもいいのも魅力的。
Just a few minute’s walk away, you can find places selling dry foods, luxury ingredients and herbal medicines.
The place is situated in one of the oldest parts of Taipei.
Also nearby there is place that many people visit to ask for guidance about relationships, it’s a really nice place to visit. (Many women visit and pray to god.)
カフェとホテルが一緒になっている素敵な空間。是非また訪れたい素敵な場所でした。
The space where I stayed was amazing.
I want to go back again very soon.
