メルボルンにあるFitzroviaというカフェの紹介です。
I'm going to introduce you to a cafe in Melbourne / Australia. The cafe is "Fitzrovia"
日曜日のちょうどランチの時間に訪れた私たち。本当に天気が良くって気持ちのいい日曜日。ちなみに毎週日曜日はSt.Kildaの海沿いでマーケットが立つので、訪れるにはバッチリなタイミング。
We visited Fitzrovia on a Sunday lunch time.
It was a lovely sunny day and every Sunday there is a market in the St. Kilda's area, so it was the perfect time to go - Right?
ここは、カフェのディスプレイか本当に素敵なんです！
様々なケーキやデザートがまるで夢の中のようにずらり。たくさんありすぎて決められません！
私たちは二階で食べることに。
二階からは吹き抜けになっているので、カフェの一階部分を見下ろしながらのカフェタイム。素敵...♡
In front of the cafe there's a cafe displaying a variety of cakes and desserts.
We went up to the second floor and could look down on the cafe.
イタリア料理とフュージョンされたイギリス料理になります。だからかちょっと面白いメニューもあったり。
The majority of residents of Fitzrovia are of British and Italian heritage, so this is reflected in their cuisine.
アルベルト公園を見下ろしながらコーヒーが飲める落ち着く時間。
We could see Albert Park whilst sipping our coffee-so nice.
多くのお客さんはこの雰囲気を楽しむために来ている気がします。
でも、もしゆっくり落ち着いてカフェがしたかったら週末を避けるのがベター。
Given the amount of customers I think many felt the same way, enjoying the ambience.
However if you want peace and quiet it is best to avoid weekends.
他のテーブルを見るとみんなポレンタという食べ物をオーダーしていました。
店員さんのおすすめでもあったし、トライしてみようとわたしたちもオーダー。
見た目がフライドポテトに似ているけど、食感が全然違う。今まで食べたことのないようななんとも言えないものでした。笑
Everyone was eating Polenta chips with parsley.
Never having eaten this before we thought we would give it a try.
They resembled a flied potato; the taste was unique but the texture somewhat crumbly.
メルボルンの多くのカフェは16:00にはクローズしてしまうので、夜遅くまでやっているカフェは本当にありがたい！
今度はディナータイムに訪れて、また違った雰囲気や食事を楽しみたいものです。
Fitzrovia is open until late, so next time I would like to go in the evening and experience a different atmosphere and menu.
